The event was the fifth workshop in a series on the topic of fish protection and downstream migration financed by the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) and organised by Ecologic Institute.

The workshop focused on the exchange of experiences with implemented measures and information about ongoing or planned research projects on the subject of fish protection and downstream fish migration. The workshop also served to synthesise and consolidate the results of the previous workshops. Participants prioritised the need for action from their perspective with regard to the continued use and dissemination of extensive discussion results.

The workshop brought together the results of the discussions of the previous workshops.
In addition, the status of the expert report "Stand Local evaluation of fish protection and fish descent from a business perspective" were presented and discussed.

Workshop topics:

  • Exchange of experience and information during a World Café
  • Presentation and discussion of the synthesis paper of the Forum
  • Formulation and prioritisation of the primary messages of the Forum for the final conference of the Forum at the BMUB
  • Presentation and discussion of the expert opinion of the forum
