Elizabeth Durney, a Transatlantic Intern with Ecologic, focused on water and resource protection as well as climate policy issues. She is also interested in urban smart growth policies, city greening and green product development.
Before joining Ecologic in January 2005, Elizabeth Durney worked for the Green Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota (USA) providing project support for a number of sustainable community development projects pursuing economic, environmental, and social results. She was also a project assistant for the Eco-Industrial Development Council, a new international organisation engaging in industrial symbiosis education, outreach and research.
Elizabeth Durney, who is from the United States, graduated in 2003 from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota (USA) with Cum Laude honors in Environmental Studies and Political Science. She has completed internships at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy (Minneapolis, Minnesota), Ecologic (2002), Clean Water Action (San Francisco, California) and Sonoma County Conservation Action (Santa Rosa, California). She has contributed to projects for the Sonoma County Resource Conservation District (Petaluma, California) and the Macalester College Environmental Studies department.
