Dora Schaffrin worked as a Fellow for Ecologic Institute. Her work concentrated on European and international environmental law. She currently acts as a consultant for the German Federal Ministry of the Environment with regards to the implementation of the Pollutant Release and Transfer Register under the Aarhus-Convention. A German native speaker, Dora Schaffrin also works in English and French. Dora Schaffrin began working for Ecologic Institute as a student and legal trainee.
During her legal traineeship she also worked at the Permanent Representation of the Federal Republic of Germany at the OECD, where she reported on OECD environmental peer reviews. Prior to this, she was an intern at the European Commission and a research assistant at Brussels Free University.
Dora Schaffrin studied law at Trier, Liège, Tunis and Humboldt University in Berlin focusing on public international and European law.
