Inga Bach, LLM
Inga Bach has worked at Ecologic Institute Berlin since March 2016. Early in her career in law she specialized in European and International Law. She is a native German speaker but also speaks English, Spanish and French fluently.
At Ecologic Institute, Inga works in a number of different legal and non-legal areas. Her topic areas cover resources, the Arctic, energy and trade. For instance, she did research for the projects Regulatory Cooperation under CETA and Briefing on Low-carbon Development in Municipalities.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, Inga Bach worked as a research assistant to Professor Joanne Scott (EU law, competition law, environmental law) at the University College London (UCL). From 2013 to 2015, Inga Bach assisted Professor Jan Jans (EU law, administrative law) from the University of Groningen with various research tasks and additionally wrote articles for a German newspaper (Deutsche Mexiko Zeitung) in Mexico City.
Alongside her work at Ecologic Institute, she studies German law at the Free University Berlin in order to be admitted to the bar in Germany. Inga Bach graduated with distinction from a Master of Laws at the UCL. In the course of that year, she focused on energy law, the economic analysis of law and European environmental law. Before her LLM, Inga Bach completed a Bachelor of Laws (honours programme) at the University of Groningen in International and European Law.
