Chris Burdack worked with the Events Team at Ecologic Institute as an Assistant Event Manager. He supported the team with the preparation, implementation and follow-up work for national, European and international events and projects on environmental issues. He speaks German, English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Portuguese and Dutch.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, Chris Burdack worked as an intern for a three-month period for the Secretariat of Urban and Social Integration of the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina). During another occupation as a student assistant he supported the German Association for Public and Private Welfare. He assisted the fields of membership administration, as well as subscription- and event management. After completing his A-Levels, Chris Burdack worked as a volunteer for one year in the development service "weltwärts" at Banco de Alimentos Puebla (Puebla Food Bank) in Mexico.
Chris Burdack completed his Bachelor's degree at the University of Vienna (Austria) studying International Development. Furthermore, he spent a year abroad at the University of Alcalá (Spain) and did an internship with the organization ACATHI in Barcelona (Spain).
Chris Burdack was pursuing a master's degree in International Relations at the Freie Universität Berlin, the Humboldt University Berlin and the University of Potsdam (Germany). During his master studies he spent a semester abroad at the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
