Eva Schmidt joined Ecologic Institute in September 2017 for a six month internship. In her work she focused primarily on economics and contributes to marine and ocean related projects. Eva is a native German speaker and fluent in English and Spanish. She has working knowledge of French.
At Ecologic Institute Eva concentrated on incentive systems that impact the transition from a linear to a circular economy. In this capacity, she supported the project Measuring the IMPACTS of the Transition to the CIRCULAR Economy (CIRCULAR IMPACTS), within the European Union's Research and Innovation programme Horizon 2020. She also supported the project Knowledge, Assessment, and Management for Aquatic Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Across EU Policies (AQUACROSS) with social media work and on the project newsletter.
Eva studies philosophy and economics at the University of Bayreuth (Germany) and will complete her bachelor in 2018. In her studies she has focused among other things on argumentation theory, logic and political philosophy. As a student she co-organized the future forum "Bayreuther Dialoge" and moderated the event.
