Antje Vorwerk was a Researcher with Ecologic Institute. Her work focused on transboundary water management, public participation in water management and the EU Water Framework Directive. Her interests also included landscape planning, environmental impact assessment and biodiversity conservation. A native German speaker, Antje also works in English and Italian and has advanced knowledge of Russian.
She gained work experience during a half year internship with ARA (Working Group for Rainforest and Species Conservation), and a one year stay in Uzbekistan where she worked for NABU (German Society for Nature Protection) on a project on the establishment of the „Nuratau-Kyzylkum-Biosphere Reserve“. From August 2002 to April 2006 she worked as a Research Assistant with Ecologic Institute.
Antje Vorwerk studied landscape planning at the Technical University Dresden and the Technical University Berlin with a focus on international development, sustainable tourism and nature conservation management.
