Avinash Kishore was a Transatlantic Intern at Ecologic for the summer of 2006. His two key projects during his internship were the "Environment Liability Directive" and "Biodiversity and Governance". Avinash is from Bihar in eastern India. He speaks English and Hindi fluently and understands Urdu.
He is a graduate student of public policy at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University. He is specialising in economics for public policy and also doing a certificate course in Science, Technology and Environment Policy.
Avinash has an MBA in rural management and worked for about five years at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) in India, where he conducted research in the fields of water and energy policy. In the future, he plans to do research on natural resource management and energy policy with a special focus on developing countries.
