To support our team in Berlin, we are looking – as soon as possible – for a

Researcher with expertise in resource conservation and circular economy
Part-time 30h/week

Ecologic Institute's Resource Team welcomes applications from candidates with environmental policy expertise to assist with projects in the areas of analysis and evaluation of resource conservation and circular economy strategies.

Your tasks:

  • Supporting projects with a focus on qualitative analysis and evaluation of international and national policies and strategies on resource conservation and circular economy
  • Conducting scientific analyses and preparing case studies based on literature and data research, interviews with experts and exchange with stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development of environmental policy solutions and recommendations
  • Supporting the analysis and evaluation of regional transformation processes
  • Editing scientific publications and project reports
  • Carrying out third-party funding acquisition at regional, national and international level
  • Assistance in the conception and implementation of project-related events
  • Moderation of events accompanying the projects

Your profile:

  • Master's degree in environmental or resource economics, resource management, environmental science or a comparable degree
  • At least two years of professional experience in the field of resource conservation and circular economy
  • Analytical skills and experience in using qualitative survey and analysis methods
  • Very good skills in presenting project results in writing (text samples required)
  • Very good knowledge of relevant national and European policies and strategies in the field of resource conservation and circular economy
  • Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding
  • Team player with the ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary manner
  • Native German speaker and very good English skills, both written and spoken
  • In-depth knowledge of quantitative analysis, e.g. surveys, is desirable
  • Experience working in international projects or in an international organization is a plus
  • An environmental understanding of material flows, supply chains and future technologies and their relevance to climate policy as well as background knowledge on decoupling economic growth from resource consumption are considered an asset
