Paul-Erik Wilms is a Research Assistant for Ecologic Institute's water team. His main research area is water politics and integrated water resource management. Paul-Erik Wilms' further scientific interests lie in the field of climate science. Paul-Erik works in German and English. In addition, he speaks French and has basic knowledge of Spanish and Dutch.
At Ecologic Institute, he is supporting the projects "Digital Water City – Leading urban water management to its digital future (DWC)", "Drought and Water Use Conflicts in Germany (WADKlim)" and "Sustainable management of landscape water balance to increase climate resilience: management and tools (KliMaWerk)".
In addition to his work for Ecologic Institute, Paul-Erik Wilms pursues a master's degree in Climate, Earth, Water, Sustainability (ClEWS) at the University of Potsdam (Germany). He previously completed his bachelor's degree in environmental engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany). In his bachelor thesis, he validated methods for density separation of microplastics from soil samples.
