Melanie Wasserman worked as a Transatlantic Intern at Ecologic from January to June 2008. During her internship, Melanie focused on international and U.S. environmental governance in relation to the marine Arctic. She has also assisted in projects dealing with national sustainable development strategies.
Melanie graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics and German, concentrating on development economics. While at UC Berkeley she worked as a research assistant for professors of development economics, interned at a sustainable development non-profit organisation and was involved in a campus peer advising program. During 2005-6, Melanie studied abroad for two semesters in Berlin at the Freie Universität. Her future plans include a PhD program in economics.
