Malte Preuß LLM
Malte Preuß worked as a legal trainee at Ecologic Institute. He worked mainly in the field of climate change and energy law as well as European Union Law and international environmental law. A native German speaker, he works in German and English.
Malte Preuß is undertaking his post-graduate legal training in Bremen (Germany). As part of his training he has been working for the Bremen Senate Department for Environment, Construction, Transport and European Affairs and for the law firm BBG und Partner, where he gained experience in the field of national environmental and planning law with a focus on energy storage.
Malte Preuß studied law at Kiel University where he focused on legal history and legal theory. He holds a Master of Laws degree (LLM) from the Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). In the course of his master's studies he focused on different issues of water law. He examined the international human right to water and the implementation of environmental principles in the water law of the European Union (EU) and New Zealand. During his studies he completed an internship at the Green Party of Aotearoa, New Zealand, where he supported the work in a reform of the water law.
