Katja Lux worked as an Assistant Event Manager at Ecologic Institute. She assisted with the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of national, European, and international environmental policy events. Her working languages are German and English, and she possesses advanced knowledge of French and Turkish.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, Katja Lux was part of the Events Team at the Jewish Museum Berlin. There she assisted in planning, organizing, and implementing internal and external events, such as concerts or rentals of the Jewish Museum Berlin premises/rooms by companies or other groups. During a ten-month European Voluntary Service in the press office of Amnesty International Austria in 2006, Katja garnered experience in public relations and journalism.
In the spring term of 2012, she began her master's degree in sociocultural sciences at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt an der Oder (Germany), where she previously had gained her bachelor's degree in cultural sciences in 2011. She also spent one semester as an Erasmus student in Istanbul. Her bachelor's thesis was about the perception of the urban environment and was conducted using a self-designed empirical approach in a district of Frankfurt an der Oder.
