Robert Ostwald was a Research Assistant at Ecologic Institute in Berlin. His work focused on the climate and energy policies of the European Union (EU). Robert Ostwald works in German and English and has a good knowledge of French.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, Robert Ostwald worked in Brussels (Belgium) at the EU Representation Office of Evonik Industries in the field of European Research and Innovation policy, where he focused his work on the EU Research Framework Programmes and public-private partnerships (PPPs). Prior to this, Robert Ostwald completed multiple internships at the State Chancellery of Mecklenburg-Pomerania (Germany), in the regional office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) in Schwerin, as well as in the German Bundestag, each with a concentration on European affairs.
In addition to his work at Ecologic Institute, Robert Ostwald is studying political sciences in the master program of the Freie Universität Berlin, with a focus on European environmental policy. In 2011, Robert Ostwald graduated from the University of Rostock (Germany) with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and communications. During his bachelor studies, he also spent one semester studying international relations at the University of Nantes in France.
