Matthew Collins, a Transatlantic Intern at Ecologic, was working on climate change policy. His additional areas of interest include environmental ethics and justice, agricultural policy, as well as transatlantic environmental relations. A graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, from which he received a bachelor of arts in German Studies, he has served as an intern for the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. Most recently, he worked with Friends of the Boundary Waters, a conservation non-profit based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Matthew is currently enrolled at the Bard Center for Environmental Policy in New York State (USA), where he will return to earn a master’s of science in environmental policy. Before heading back to classes, Matthew will begin a research project on the German renewable energy program courtesy of a research scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
