In May 2012, as part of the World Congress on Water, Climate and Energy in Dublin (Ireland), Ecologic Institute organized a Special Session entitled "Communicating research: Getting your message across." During the summer semester 2012, the Research Group Ecosystem Services organises a course on "Ecosystem Services and Land Use" at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin (HU Berlin). What does policy consultancy mean in practice? What is a think tank and what does it do? These and other questions were discussed by Doris Knoblauch and Gesa Homann within the framework of a teaching assignment at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences.
