Franka Pätzke works as a Research Assistant for Ecologic Institute. She is mainly involved in the EU research project "Resource Efficient Food and dRink for the Entire Supply cHain (REFRESH)", which focuses on the reduction of food waste along production and supply chains. Franka Pätzke works in German and English and is fluent in Spanish.
Her work for REFRESH mainly consists of external project communication, dissemination, research work and the organization of workshops and conferences.
Before working for Ecologic Institute, Franka Pätzke completed an internship at the Environmental Secretary in Guadalajara, Mexico. There, she supported the development of an environmental fund for the state of Jalisco. Prior to that, she assisted in the implementation of a study program for refugees at the International Office of Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany.
Franka Pätzke completed her bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Business Administration at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in Germany and a year abroad at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in Spain. Currently, she studies in the master's programme "Integrated and Natural Resource Management" at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
