On 1 November 2011, Ecoscholars held its fall 2011-2012 Kickoff Event. The event, hosted by Ecologic Institute, featured Director R. Elizabeth Tedsen, Transatlantic Fellow, attended the International Arctic Legal Forum: "Protection and Sustainable Development of the Arctic: Legal Aspects" in Salekhard (Russia) and presented Ecologic Institute’s EU Arctic Footprint and Policy Assessment projects. The Forum brought together Russian and international policymakers, attorneys, researchers, and diplomats to discuss changes in the Arctic and ideas for sustainable development in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District and beyond.
As an expert reviewer, Tanja Srebotnjak, Senior Fellow at Ecologic Institute, will participate in the 2012 Review Workshop of the Environmental Performance Index Expert. The Workshop will taking place on 26 and 27 September 2011 at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut.
