Since the Stern-report was published, the world knows: climate protection is worth the effort. According to the announcements of the IPCC-working group, it is approved: we have to act now! At the sight of the binding emission reduction and limitation targets, established in the Kyoto Protocol, end in 2012 it´s high time to push on the proceedings about a future climate change regime. This theme is the main content in the report “Kyoto was only the beginning”, published by the Deutsche Welle, which questioned the sense of G8 summit in Heiligendamm focusing on climate protection. In this connection, Dr. Camilla Bausch, Senior Fellow at Ecologic, gives her scientific appraisal.
