In order to foster ecologically and economically sustainable construction in the future, the construction industry needs to convert its processes to circular value creation. Therefore, the city of Berlin is striving for a circular and resource-saving construction method. The expert dialogue aims at informing and discussing the implementation of Re-Use and recycling measures for insulation materials. The Berlin Senate Department for the Environment, Transport and Climate Protection, the "Verband für Dämmsysteme, Putz und Mörtel" (Association for Insulation Systems, Plaster and Mortar) and the "Gesamtverband Deutscher Holzhandel" (German Timber Trade Association) invite you to attend – alongside around 250 expected participants – the Webinar, taking place on 6 October 2021. Ecologic Institute supports organising and implementing the event logistically and technically.

The aim of the event is to discuss the need for conserving resources in the construction industry, from planning to construction, operation to deconstruction, as well as comprehensive life-cycle documentation, so that climate protection, cost compatibility and raw material productivity can be combined.

What is needed is not only a turnaround in climate protection, but also a turnaround in resource conservation, including in the construction industry.
