Hannah Brunkhorst works as a Research Assistant for Ecologic Institute. She supports the team in projects related to resource conservation and circular economy. Her main areas of interest are climate change adaptation, climate vulnerabilities and socio-ecological sustainability. In her Master's degree programme in Geographical Development Research, she aims to deepen her knowledge in these areas. Hannah Brunkhorst is a native German speaker and has a very good command of English.

As part of her activities at Ecologic Institute, Hannah Brunkhorst supports, among others, project work for the UBA-funded TransIS project "Sustainable Development of Infrastructures in Regions of Structural Change". She is also involved in the organization and evaluation of workshops, interviews and project meetings.

Before joining Ecologic Institute, Hannah Brunkhorst worked as a student assistant in social projects and non-profit associations. She supported the association Kulturbrücke Hamburg e.V. in project management, worked on the tutoring project Kompetenz Kompakt for young refugees, and worked on the project Helping Hands for Ukraine in a refugee facility, among others.

Hannah Brunkhorst graduated from the University of Hamburg (Germany) with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. She is currently studying for a Master's degree in Geographical Development Research (M. Sc.) at the Freie Universität Berlin alongside her work at Ecologic Institute.
