Standard & Poor’s AA-Rating for OekoWorld OekoVision Classic Investment Fund

News

The OekoWorld Oekovision Classic is a leading ethical investment fund (or mutual trust) based on stringent social and ecological criteria. A panel of independent experts, including Christine Jasch, Sebastian Büttner, and R. Andreas Kraemer of Ecologic, supports the selection of businesses for investment decisions by the fund management, headed by Stewart Armer of Fortis Investments. The international rating agency Standard & Poor recently gave an AA Rating to the fund.

Standard & Poor's AA Rating

In September 2008, Standard & Poor comes to this conclusion:

The management of OekoWorld OekoVision Classic is based on the conviction that a socially responsible investment mandate, in spite of restrictions on the range of investment options, allows for competitive performance compared with traditional global investment funds or mutual trusts investing in company stocks.  The relative performance over the past five years supports that assumption.

Since July 2005, the fund manager, Stewart Armer of Fortis Investment, succeeded in continuing the earlier solid long-term performance and built a strong team.  As was evident during 2009, performance can be volatile.  However, the combination of experience and support justifies the upgrading of Standard & Poor's rating to AA.
