Mandy Hinzmann, fellow researcher at the Ecologic Institute, gave a presentation in a scientific session of the World Resources Forum, which took place from 12 until 14 October 2021. She presented key policy options on how to foster the circular economy in the European textiles sector. She also participated in the discussion session after the presentations.

The presentation was based on findings of the project "Technical, Regulatory, Economic and Environmental Effectiveness of Textile Fibres Recycling", commissioned by the European Commission DG Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs (DG GROW).

This year's World Resources Forum was dedicated to the overarching theme "A Green Deal for Sustainable Resources". Overall, the conference had about 950 participants and took place mostly online. The World Resources Forum serves as a platform for dialogue between stakeholders from policy, science, industry and civil society to discuss the most pressing challenges and co-create solutions in the area of resource conservation.
