Tielmann, Christian; Korthues, Barbara (2022): Flupp aus der Plastikflasche. Special production for the BMBF research focus "Plastics in the Environment". Carlsen Verlag, Hamburg.

The topic of plastic in the environment is particularly easy for children to understand because plastic products and waste are everywhere. The PIXI book "Flupp aus der Plastikflasche" (Flupp in the plastic bottle), which was created as part of the research focus "Plastics in the Environment" by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, teaches children about precisely this topic.

In the story by Christian Tielmann, Dario and Milla discover the little ghost Flupp taking a nap in a plastic bottle that has been dumped in the bushes. The environmentally aware children explain to the startled ghost in the bottle that his home has no place in the environment, and thus explain the correct way to deal with plastic waste. In the end, Flupp also realizes that his cozy place of retreat does not belong in the bushes.

"Flupp aus der Plastikflasche" is the second PIXI book developed within the research focus "Plastics in the Environment". "Heddi and the Plastic Heroes" has already been read with excitement by many children in the last two years. Both PIXI books are no longer available.

Plastic avoidance explained as easy as child's play.
