Food is supposed to be healthy and grown sustainably. But in reality, more and more pesticides end up on the fields and thus in our food. Mass pesticide use has devastating effects on health and the environment. Is this really necessary? What are the concrete effects of pesticide use in agriculture? What are the alternatives to chemical use in agriculture? What are the current political developments?

At the event, these questions were discussed by:

  • Amira Mohamed Ali, Chairwoman of the DIE LINKE parliamentary group in the Bundestag
  • Corinna Hölzel, Pesticide expert of the Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND)
  • Aaron Scheid, Fellow at Ecologic Institute
  • Ina Latendorf, Spokeswoman for Agriculture, Rural Areas and Animal Welfare, Parliamentary Group DIE LINKE in the Bundestag.

Further information can be found on the Website.

The event was in German.
