Fish protection facilities are differentiated by trash rack, fish-protecting turbine, fish-protecting turbine operation, scouring facility, capture and transport measure, and other fish protection facilities. Screens - such as horizontal, vertical, and roller screens - are the most frequently mentioned fish protection device in the atlas. Vertical screens (36) have the most entries, followed by horizontal screens (32).
