Umweltbundesamt 2019: Naturnaher Hochwasserschutz an der Fulda. Video. Online: https://youtu.be/8-A4Oh0pqaY

The "Masterplan Fuldaaue" is an example of good cooperation between the Hessian municipalities of Bebra, Rotenburg and Alheim. The Fulda was restored near-naturally and flood protection was improved. Financing was provided by different funding sources and the costs were kept low by creative solutions.

This video explains restoration measures at the river Fulda. The project managers share their experiences in interviews. The video is part of a series of ten videos on river restoration projects in Germany, which were created for the information portal river restoration of the German Federal Environment Agency (uba.de/renaturierung).

For the restoration of the Fulda, the interests of nature conservation, water management, tourism, agriculture and the population have been taken into account.
