Umweltbundesamt 2019: Auenrevitalisierung in Kooperation mit der Landwirtschaft an der Hase. Video. Online: https://youtu.be/NrZq3Hcsizg

The water landscape of the Hase and its tributaries Lower Saxony is ecologically upgraded. The dykes are relocated, floodplain revitalisations and watercourse conversions are carried out. This can only be done in close cooperation with all those involved, but above all with agriculture, which makes land available and extensifies uses.

This video explains restoration measures at the river Hase. The project manager shares his experiences in an interview. The video is part of a series of ten videos on river restoration projects in Germany, which were created for the information portal river restoration of the German Federal Environment Agency (uba.de/renaturierung).

The aim of the restoration measures on the river Hase is to create a wide biotope network system. The focus is on the creation of new floodplains, extensive grasslands, riparian forests and wetland biotopes.
