Ecologic Institute (2023): MoorNet. Website. URL: https://moor-net.de

Ecologic Institute designed and developed the MoorNet website and embedded peatland protection database. In addition, the website offers a filterable list of peatland-related events as well as quick access to the overview of already gained knowledge. Stakeholders in peatland protection are invited to add content to the database.

The peatland protection database is divided into three sections.

Projects

The peatland protection database combines and indexes peatland projects of various topics, from A like amphibian to W like Wiedervernässung (rewetting). It informs about protection status, moor type, project type as well as the place of the project.

Funding programs

This section provides information about the funding programs listed in the peatland protection database. It provides basic information about the particular programs and shows an overview of the funded projects.

Institutions

An overview of all active players recorded in the peatland protection database can be found in the institutions section. In addition to contact information, it shows which projects and events the players are involved in.

Our peatland protection database links German projects and stakeholders.
