As of November 2004, Peter Beyer contributes to the German legal journal ZUR - Zeitschrift für Umweltrecht as responsible editor for the field of climate change policy. The ZUR offers specific articles from academia and practice on current problems of environmental law. The magazine appears regularly and each edition focuses on one specific topic and critically discusses environmental legislation. It offers approaches to solve problems and puts contentious views forward for discussion to encourage further legislative education.

It examines and presents carefully selected topics in an impartial and often interdisciplinary way. A detailed service section features among others an exhaustive up-to-date overview of publications on environmental law as well as of legislative developments at Länder, federal and European level. The Journal is of particular interest to people working in the field of environmental law, lawyers, judges, politicians and businesses.
