Julia Zeller works as a Research Assistant for the Biodiversity Team of Ecologic Institute. She currently supports the project "Implementation of the National Peatland Protection Strategy", with research activities and the development of a project database.

In addition to her work at Ecologic Institute, Julia Zeller studies "Technical Environmental Protection" to attain her second bachelor's degree at the Technische Universität Berlin. She successfully completed her first bachelor's degree in the field of Cultural Anthropology and Geography at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany). In her bachelor thesis, Julia Zeller dealt with the multi-layered concept of "nature" in Ecuador and the resulting tension between Neo-Extractivism and the principle of the "good life" inspired by indigenous philosophies.
