During her vocational training, Liliane Salla, Assistant Event Manager at Ecologic Institute, had the opportunity to undertake a four-week internship in Malta, working at the Cathedral Concept Store in Sliema. This store is managed by Helena Gore, who offers vintage clothing, decorations, art, and sustainable fashion from designers such as "Zowji Makes," who creates her garments from curtains or fabric remnants, for example. Helena Gore is also the founder of a volunteer group for Ukrainian refugees. She has two charity centers to which she regularly donates 50% of her clothing. Additionally, she contributes to the Malta Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (MSPCA), Malta’s largest animal welfare organization.
During the internship, Liliane, alongside her colleague Sabina, had the chance to run the store. Their responsibilities included making the store presentable, attending to customers, and conducting sales. Moreover, they wrote two event concepts, one of which was hosted. Liliane was also in charge of social media, for which she developed a Social Media Concept Plan for Instagram and produced numerous videos and photos, which she edited afterward.
Overall, Liliane was extremely satisfied and grateful for the opportunity to undertake this internship. She met many friendly people, formed new friendships, gained diverse professional experiences, and improved their English language skills.
