Dear readers, friends and colleagues,

As spring unfolds, bringing renewal and growth, I find myself reflecting on the journey we have embarked on together. Since Ecologic Institute’s founding in 1995, our collective effort has fostered a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and identified sustainable solutions that resonate with decision-makers and citizens. We have accomplished this thanks to the efforts of our staff, our strong network of partners and the funders eager to support our research as well as our efforts in the field of capacity building and education.

With a heart full of gratitude for this community, I share with you a personal transition. After 20 years of dedication, learning, and research for our planet's health and future at Ecologic Institute, the time has come for me to pass the torch. I plan to leave Ecologic Institute in August 2024, after almost 10 years as Director. My departure is bittersweet, as I will miss the inspiring work with my wonderful colleagues inside and outside Ecologic Institute. Nevertheless, I am excited for what lies ahead, both for me and for the Institute, and I will certainly stay committed to our common goal of contributing to a better, more sustainable future.

As we look to the next chapter, we now search for a new Director. This role is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone who shares our passion for environmental stewardship and is ready to lead with vision and determination. I invite you to share the job announcement with your networks of passionate leaders to help us find a new, energetic Director who will carry forward what we've built together and take it to the next level.

Thank you for decades of fruitful cooperation, for your unwavering support and commitment. Together, we have achieved remarkable milestones and I look forward to seeing the Institute flourish under new leadership.  

For me, this is not yet a farewell, as I look forward to still being on the corridors of Ecologic Institute for the next few months, working with and for this wonderful place where science and education are dedicated to improving policies and leading the way to a sustainable world.
