Enhancing the Climate Mitigation Policies and Measures (PaMs) database

Project
Duration
-

This project for the European Environment Agency (EEA) aims to improve both the number and quality of reported climate policies and measures (PaMs) and to increase the visibility and utilisation of the PaMs database.

Despite countries' long-standing reporting obligations on climate action - first under the Monitoring Mechanism Regulation and later under the Governance Regulation – there are still significant gaps and inconsistencies, particularly in quantitative data on policy impacts, costs and benefits. The main objective of this project is to understand the challenges related to reporting on PaMs, to develop a common vision for the database and to develop an action plan based on insights from reporters, owners and users of the database.

This European Environment Agency project aims to improve the quality and transparency of climate action by closing existing gaps in reporting and developing a common vision for an efficient and user-friendly PaMs database.
