Zahra Hamdan is a Legal Trainee at Ecologic Institute. Her areas of expertise include European and international law. She is fluent in German and English, has a good command of Arabic and a basic knowledge of Italian.
As part of the Legal Team, Zahra supports the assessment of European and international legal requirements for climate policy initiatives. Her work includes researching and analysing international agreements, with a particular focus on the legal enforceability of sustainability-related issues.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, she gained practical legal experience as a research associate and research assistant with several law firms, including DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte Part mbB, Schlun & Elseven Rechtsanwälte, and the law firm Dr. Yerlikaya-Manzel & Dr. Manzel.
Zahra completed an LL.M. in European and Global Law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She previously studied Law at Ruhr University Bochum, where she completed the First State Examination in Law.
