On 21 May 2013, the 2013 Report "Indicators For A Sustainable San Mateo County" - which has been coordinated by Ecologic Institute  - was published amidst more than 80 representatives of city, town and county governments, nonprofits, interested residents and journalists. The launch took place at the Sobrato Center for Nonprofits in Redwood City and attendees not only enjoyed presentations by Adrienne Etherton (SSMC) and Tanja Srebotnjak (Ecologic Institute) but also an interesting panel discussion on the 2013 key indicator Income Inequality.

From September 2012 until April 2013 the team gathered data for more than 40 indicators for the 3Es: Economy, Equity and Environment, which were further enriched by current policy developments, innovative local initiatives and tips for more sustainable individual behaviors.

The report, which is also available for download, provides facts and trends on progress made towards a vibrant economy, an equitable society and a healthy environment.
