Many EU Directives are not sufficiently enforced in the member states and the EU commission considers the strengthening of its role in Environmental inspections.  The project assesses the impacts of such a policy and analyses the different options to strengthen the role of the EU commission in environmental inspections.

The assessment focuses on three policy areas (water, nature conservation and trade with endangered species) and on five member states (Poland, Sweden, UK, Germany and Spain).
