Anna Bohushenko works as an International Fellow at Ecologic Institute. Her current research focuses on projects related to adaptation and mitigation strategies. She carries out her work in English and continues to improve her German language skills. She speaks Ukrainian, her mother tongue.

At Ecologic Institute, Anna Bohushenko supports a project "Macro-economic/top-down assessment of climate impacts on the EU economy", a project on climate change risk assessment in the European Union. She moreover supports the evaluation of studies of international organizations in the field of resource conservation in a project for the German Federal Environmental Agency (UBA).

Prior to joining the Ecologic Institute, Anna Bohushenko gained valuable experience as an Energy Policy Expert at the Ukrainian climate NGO Center for Environmental Initiatives Ecoaction. There, she coordinated policy work on sustainable energy transition in Ukraine. She was further involved in a study on new mechanisms to promote renewable energy in Ukraine after the Feed-in tariff period and just transition in mining towns.

Anna Bohushenko holds a Master's degree in Earth Sciences with a specialization in climatology from Odessa State Environmental University (Ukraine). There, she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. on extreme climate events. Her research focuses on understanding the dynamics and spatial distribution of these events, as well as forecasting for them.
