Maike Schlebusch interns with the Adaptation Team at Ecologic Institute in Berlin. Her main research interests revolve around disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation, with a specific focus on the social (co-)production of climate risks and water-related issues. Her working languages are German and English.
At Ecologic Institute, Maike Schlebusch mainly contributes to project work on the Climate Resilient Landscapes Guidance, which aims to define the climate-resilient landscape approach while providing policy-relevant tools, technical guidance, and governance frameworks for embedding resilience into land-use planning and territorial development.
Before joining Ecologic Institute, Maike Schlebusch pursued her master’s degree in ‘Geographies of Environmental Risks and Human Security’ at the University of Bonn and the United Nations University (UNU-EHS), with her thesis research on the Turkey-Northern Cyprus Water Transfer Project and its entanglement with the island’s division.
