Innovative Technologies for the Efficient Use of Resources

Project
Duration
-

The project "r²" aims at supporting the goal of the German national sustainability strategy to double Germany’s productivity regarding the use of energy and raw materials between 1994 and 2020. Strengthening and promoting innovations in the area of resource efficiency in commodity-intensive sectors are means of implementation. In this context, the Fraunhofer-Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI is heading an integration and transfer project with the purpose of linking and integrating related and secondary research. The Ecologic Institute is supporting the project through the organization of 15 workshops and conferences.

The efficient use of raw materials is becoming more and more important, both economically and ecologically. In order to accommodate this significance, the transfer project aims at strengthening innovative powers by integrating and connecting similar professional Institutes, both within and outside the Fraunhofer compound. The series of accompanying events are meant to support the network on a personal and professional level.
