The European Environment Agency (EEA) provides decision-makers with information needed to make sound and effective decisions in the policy making process with the aim to protect the environment and support sustainable development. Within a framework contract, Ecologic supports the EEA in this task by undertaking an agri-environmental analysis relating to agri-environment indicators, farm management, bio-energy production, the spatial distribution of CAP subsidies and dissemination of EEA results.

The European directives in the waste field require Member States to report to the European Commission on the implementation of the directives giving a clear picture of the situation in each Member State. In turn, the Commission has to produce a Community report on the basis of the reports submitted by the Member States. Ecologic partnered by IEEP assist the European Commission in completing this report.

This project provides guidance to the European Commission and national authorities on the implementation of new state aid provisions to support eco-innovation. Ecologic contributed to the project by conducting a case study to analyse practices in Germany.

<p>The scientific evidence conveys the clear message that climate is changing and that this change will impact the water cycle and water resources in Europe and world-wide. European water managers are implementing the Water Framework Directive (WFD), the main instrument in EU water protection. Climate change impacts will affect and interact with WFD implementation activities at different states in the process. Climatic variables are the root of many of the parameters that influence water resources and therefore it is important to consider climate change when aiming to achieve the WFD objectives (good status of all waters). This project aimed to support WFD implementers by providing different options how to include the different challenges coming from climate change in the different planning cycles of the WFD.</p>&#13;

In the light of liberalised energy markets, the project aims to assess the role of nuclear energy in a&nbsp;diversified EU energy mix. In this context, the project provides an overview and assessment of nuclear polices and strategies both at EU and Member State level.
