Research Network in Climate, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials (RECREATE)

Project
Research Program
Duration
-

The Research Network in Climate, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials (RECREATE) will assess the impacts of research and innovation in Europe and beyond, as well as derive an outlook and recommendations for future research priorities in the fields of climate, resource efficiency and raw materials, in particular for the Horizon 2020 research programme.

In a five-year long process, the network will analyse the various impacts of research and innovation activities, monitor new developments, and recommend future research priorities in the three areas of climate, resource efficiency and raw materials.

The research will be very user-centred and stakeholder-oriented. Interviews, workshops, and publications are designed to reach and represent the opinions of a broad range of stakeholders, including representatives from the industry, academia, civil society organisations, research funding agencies and policymakers.

Ecologic Institute will support various tasks in the project and leads the activities related to publishing relevant and targeted policy briefs on the impacts of research, innovation and future priorities, as well as a scoreboard measuring the implementation of the European Research Area.

In order to ensure that the results are relevant for the target audience, the work will be based on stakeholder interviews, which will lead to the development of a set of personas that represent key stakeholder groups, identify their information needs and preferences. The results of the stakeholder analysis will be valuable for the entire project development and will be updated throughout the project.
