Support for CRCF Days – Permanent carbon removals

Project
Duration
-

The project supports the European Commission's Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) in implementing the EU Carbon Removal and Carbon Farming Regulation (CRCF) by helping to organise the first annual CRCF Days, with a specific focus on the opening day dedicated to permanent carbon removals.

The event brings together project developers, buyers, certification schemes, Member States, and other key stakeholders to exchange knowledge, encourage collaboration, and accelerate the development of a credible European market for certified carbon removals. Ecologic Institute is responsible for designing the programme, engaging speakers and stakeholders, moderating the first day of the conference, and capturing the key insights to support the further development of the CRCF framework and a potential EU Buyers' Club for carbon removals. The inaugural CRCF Days took place in Brussels on 20 and 21 May 2026.

Ecologic Institute supports DG CLIMA in conceptualising and delivering the first CRCF Days, a lighthouse event for technical carbon removals
