On Thursday, 20 April 2023, INTERLACE hosted a Cities Talk Nature Talks webinar, aiming to strengthen cooperation, learning, and peer-to-peer interactions on the local, regional, and global scales. The webinar's focus was on "municipal strategies for the long-term implementation of nature-based solutions."

During the discussion, representatives from the European municipality of Granollers (Spain) and the Latin American municipality of Cuenca (Ecuador) shared their strategies for long-term implementation of nature-based solutions. They discussed their successes and failures, providing valuable insights and tips for other cities looking to replicate their efforts.

Natalia Burgos presented on governance instruments to mainstream nature-based solutions and shared best practices gathered in the Urban Governance Atlas. She emphasized the importance of bottom-up initiatives as a strategy for long-term sustainability of actions, and highlighted the types of policy instruments being prioritized in Europe and Latin America to support nature-based solutions actions.

Overall, the webinar was a success in promoting the exchange of knowledge and ideas between municipalities, encouraging the implementation of nature-based solutions for a sustainable future.
