Sira Horstkötter, LLB
Sira Horstkötter works as a Research Assistant in the Legal Team at Ecologic Institute. She is interested in environmental and climate protection on a European and international level, as well as sustainable development. She works in German and English and has basic knowledge of Spanish.
At Ecologic Institute, she is involved in the project "Ensuring Environmental Protection: Perspectives for improving environmental compliance assurance in Germany."
Before joining Ecologic Institute, she worked for the Europäische Bewegung Deutschland (European Movement Germany). As a Project Assistant, she coordinated the "European Student Careers Ambassadors" project, in which she supported student ambassadors with promoting EU employment opportunities. Pior to that, she was an intern at the European Movement Germany within the field of Public Relations and network activities. She also gained work experience as a working student at Médecins sans Frontières (MSF), where she worked for the fundraising department.
Sira Horstkötter is enrolled in a Master's program in European Studies at the European University Viadrina (Germany). She completed her Bachelor's degree in Law at the University of Potsdam (Germany). In her Bachelor thesis, she dealt with measures under the international law in the event of a "Public Health Emergency of International Concern."
