On 9 May 2021, the Conference on the Future of Europe (CFE) begins. The CFE is an important moment for EU climate policy making. Successful climate policies depend on the EU - as a driver for ambitious policies in Europe and an advocate of international climate protection.
The project establishes a network of think tanks from eight Member States – Germany, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Italy, Romania and Poland. Its main objectives are (1) to monitor the domestic debates on the CFE and its link to climate policies, (2) to facilitate dialogues between Member States on the CFE, and (3) to contribute regularly to the domestic debates on the CFE.
