The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), in cooperation with Agencia Estatal de Meteorologia (AEMET), organised an in-person C3S user workshop with a geographical focus on Spain on 4 June 2025.
The half-day workshop took place in Valencia and was targeted at current and potential future C3S users in Spain.
Benefits for participants
This national user workshop was a valuable opportunity for interested Spanish individuals and organisations to:
- learn about C3S services and how they can benefit their activities;
- discuss their potential interest and requirements for the use and application of C3S data and services;
- explore current use cases from Spanish users through an interactive session – including poster presentations and discussions – to deepen their understanding of user needs within the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S);
- present their experiences using C3S and receive feedback from colleagues and other users.
After an overview of the Spanish climate services and user community and a presentation of the C3S services, the second part of the workshop aimed to interact with the Spanish user community and was dedicated to using C3S data and products, understanding user requirements and exploring the potential for collaboration with C3S.
The workshop was held in English and took place at Veles e Vents as a side event of the 8th C3S General Assembly (GA). During the networking lunch, the attendees had the opportunity to get in touch with the participants of the General Assembly as well.
The agenda can be found on the official event website.
