The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), with the support of the Drought Management Centre for Southeastern Europe (DMCSEE), is organising an online workshop on the use of climate data and services for drought monitoring in Southeastern Europe.

The online workshop will take place on Wednesday, 10 June 2026, from 09:00 to 11:30 CEST.

This half-day event aims to raise awareness of C3S drought-related products and recent developments, showcase transboundary use cases from the region, and engage participants in identifying concrete user needs to support future improvements of climate services for drought monitoring and adaptation.

Benefits for participants

This transboundary user workshop is a unique opportunity for interested individuals and organisations to:

  • Learn about C3S products and services and better understand how they can support drought monitoring and climate adaptation activities
  • Exchange on their interests, priorities and requirements regarding the use of C3S data and tools for key issues affecting the Southeastern Europe region
  • Connect with regional and international experts using climate services to strengthen the resilience of Southeastern European territories

Practical information

The workshop will be held online and will combine plenary sessions and interactive breakout groups. After introductory presentations on C3S services and recent developments in drought-related datasets, selected transboundary use cases will illustrate current applications in priority sectors.
Interactive breakout sessions will then allow participants to exchange on challenges and data needs related to drought monitoring and climate adaptation, contributing to the identification of shared priorities at regional level.
