The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) partnered with the Finnish Meteorological Institute to organise an in-person workshop dedicated to the use and uptake of climate services and C3S products for Finnish users.

The workshop took place on 22 January 2026 within the 8th Winter Satellite Workshop in Espoo, Finland.

This event was intended for professionals who work or are willing to work with C3S products across sectors: policy officers, Met office employees, researchers and private sector representatives.

The workshop was designed as a dialogue space between C3S and climate service users or intermediaries, to increase and improve the use of climate data.

C3S is a user-driven service, meaning its team is continuously improving the quality and access to climate services and such workshops contribute greatly to collect user needs and requirements.

This user workshop was a unique opportunity for interested individuals and organisations to:

  • Discover how Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) products and services can support your work
  • Explore real-world use cases from Finnish users to better understand and inform future developments within C3S
  • Network with professionals who use climate services in Finland

The workshop was divided into plenary and breakout sessions. Discussions about the participants’ use of climate services and their associated needs were organised around several use case presentations.
