The Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S), with the support of the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute and Charles University, is organising an in-person workshop dedicated to the use of climate data and services for Czech users.
The half-day workshop will take place in Prague, as a side event of the Czech National Copernicus User Forum.
The workshop is designed for scientists, policy officers, businesses and students who currently use or are interested in using C3S data for their work in the field of climate change.
Benefits for Participants
This user workshop is a unique opportunity for interested individuals and organisations to:
- Discover how Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) products and services can support your work
- Explore real-world use cases from Czech users to better understand and inform future developments within C3S
- Strengthen your knowledge and skills through targeted breakout training sessions on specific C3S tools
- Network with professionals who use climate services in Czech Republic
The workshop will be divided into plenary and hands-on training sessions. Following introductory presentations by the Copernicus Climate Change Service, several projects employing climate data will be presented and discussed.
The afternoon’s second half will feature hands-on training opportunities, with two distinct areas of focus:
- Retrieving and analysing data from C3S
- Looking for climate information on C3S
Training Content
The training sessions will combine practical exercises, walkthrough of C3S and its online services, and open discussions where attendees will be able to share their issues and requests using the service.
The information-focused training is aimed at decision-making information users including ministry staff, local authorities, business representatives, NGOs and educational organisations.
The data and analysis focus group targets more technically oriented data analysts: scientists and researchers working with climate and spatial data, data practitioners supporting policy-makers or businesses.
Please register for the C3S user workshop for the Czech community by 30th September 2025 the latest.
